The story follows a group of actors and actresses filming the sixth installment of Cliff Beasts, a popular dinosaur franchise, during the height of COVID-19 and that means isolating themselves for 14 days in a hotel and then starting filming, very shortly. little by little it is plagued by technical problems, infections and despair.
The script, written by Apatow and Pam Bradyk, attempts to satirize a large number of elements related to the industry. We find mockery of the hyperbolic and cliché phrases used by critics, how Hollywood tries to talk about climate change and inclusion without understanding anything about the subject, actors and actresses taking roles that do not correspond to them, the fear of getting old, the ego of celebrities, the use of visual effects to solve everything, and the supposed “crisis” of lack of new content during the pandemic.
